How to logon Keyboard

By abdcader ·
I have replaced new(or secoundhand)socket-7 motherboard to my spare computer, that is POST and booted well. But key board doesnot functioning. Some time the following message appears "Keyboard locked out, logon your keyboard".
My question is how I can logon the keyboard?

Is this happening during boot, or after Windows is loaded?

If it happens during the boot process, I would first try and reset the CMOS memory on the motherboard.
Also, set the error reporting in bios settings to halt on all errors.

To reset the CMOS, you need to either set a jumper to clear the CMOS (you may need to boot and shutdown to complete the clear process) or remove the battery, and disconnect power for 30 minutes or so.

If the error is when the OS starts, there may be a security setting set somewhere.
But, I would still suspect a hardware error.
Make sure that there is not a yellow "?,!" mark for the keyboard, or the port.

When putting in the new system board, you may have connected a wire to a post on the system board that lets you turn the keyboard off, consult your user manual an look at the block connector panel, and look for KB Lock, I have sometimes done this myself, even though there is no key lock on the fron of the system?
Hope this helps?
