How to make wireless printer to work?

By sanwardak ·
Hi
My friend bought a HP laser jet pro cm1415nw wireless printer and now it does not work. I setup his wireless router and it work fine, and I install many times his printer via remote control, it will not print any page, it says printer offline, there is no option to make it online, but when I try to scan something it work via wireless, but it will not print. If I connect through usb connection then printer work fine. His OS is Windows 7.

Regards

I had similar issues with an hp photomart c310a, called hp support, they had me run a firmware update, then it appeared to work fine for months, then recently started to drop connection for the scanner part of the system, printing still workins fine.

anyway also check the sleep setting onthe printer make sure its not going to sleep, one other tip is assigne an ip afddress to the printer to ensure no other device gets that ip,

And is the WiFi working correctly?

by OH Smeg In reply to How to make wireless prin ...

I've seen a similar issue with a WiFi Printer where the Router, WiFi Access Point had been scrambled by a Power Spike and stopped the WiFi working.

If that's the case you need to unplug the WiFi Access Point allow the capacitors to discharge and then plug it back in. Allow about 10 seconds of it being unplugged and unplug the Power Lead Do Not just turn it off at any switch unplug the power lead.
