Hi..i’m in the last leg of my thesis. I’m actually studying impact of changing OSPF timers on network coverage, Now, to check the network convergnece i’m relying on the number of packet drop when i ping a connected router which is not directly connected but learn route through OSPF.
The problem i’m facing is that to check my setup i need to ping from my XP/ubuntu system to a loopback of a cisco 2600 router. but i’m not able to do this as from a PC i could only ping the ip addresses of the router but not its loopback which is very important for my thesis.
I’ll be really greatful if anyone could help me find a solution to this.
