How to print a .prn

This is what I want to do.

Print a document to a printer that I don’t have immedate access to.

I think I need to do the following.

1. create a printer on my machine with the needed print driver.
2. print doc to a file .prn using the installed, but not present printer.
3. Take the .prn file to the PC with the nedded printer installed.

The question is on this PC, what do I neede to do to get the doc printed.
