I was installing some hardware & cleaning up my sister’s custom-made/generic desktop PC and accidentally disconnected the wires leading from the power & reset buttons on the front panel to the motherboard.
I THINK I finally figured out the connection order of the wires; however, the 2 wires leading to the power button, one white-one black, was pulled out.
So now I totally am lost on how to re-connect the power wires. I’ve tried connecting once and nothing- problem is I don’t know if I messed up on the wires connecting to the motherboard or the power wires.
The description of the wide wire that runs from the front panel to the motherboard: it is made up of 8 wires that are divided into groups of two. Wires are labeled
1st group: white& black ? labeled ?POWER SW?
2nd group: white& orange ? labeled ?RESET SW?
3rd group: white& yellow ? labeled ?H.D.D. LED?
Then a single white wire ?not labeled
The last wire – a single green wire ?not labeled
The motherboard is: K7SOM+ motherboard
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
