Whilst visiting my wife’s family, I made a video on a MiniDVD Camcorder of my Daughter and my wife’s grandmother.
After recording it, the camcorder freaked out and claimed it was a corrupt disc.
Usually the camcorder records on a DVD and then goes back after finishing the DVD to “Finalise” the DVD and put a root menu/boot sector on it.
There is data written on the DVD, I can see the tracks with my bare eyes.
Trouble is the Computer can’t see this data. It goes into a loop, just looking for the boot sector or FAT or whatever.
I’ve tried recovery programs, but they don’t work, they look for the root/boot/FAT.
Is there any utility out there that can scan the disk “Bit by Bit” copying the raw file (clearly a MPEG2 or whatever the DVD standard file is) and copy it as raw data onto a hard drive where I can then process and put it onto a new DVD?
Please help!!!!
