I desperately need help. I have a WD my book essential hard drive. The USB of the old case was damaged and I replaced with a new case. But now the drive does not show up in my computer but the safely remove hardware option shows the drive. I read forums and assigned it a drive and created new partitions but did not format the drive. I have tried all sorts of software but it doesn’t work. I want my old data back. Please help. Did I make a mistake by making new partition.Can i get my old data back from the drive. HELP!!!!!!
