How To remove a Dual Boot Win 7 & XP

By btgbobby ·
I followed Bill Detwilers instruction on how to dual boot Window XP and Windows 7 on the same drive. The exercise worked fine and has done for a few months. Yesterday I switched the computer on and at the screen before the system selection I was presented with a message Boot-mgr Compressed press Cntrl Alt Delete and restart. After many tries I gave up and installed Win 7 again, I was then able to get to the System switching screen and was able to boot into XP. I tried a restart to see if it was all fixed but at the System Selection Screen there are 2 Windows 7 selections and one XP or Earlier System selections, when I tried to open Windows 7 neither would work.
Frustrated with the Computer I opened XP and removed everything I wanted from the folders that contained Windows 7 Files, I then started Easeus partition manager and deleted the content of C drive that contained Window 7, reallocated the space to C drive XP an applied the changes.
Now when I start the computer at the screen selection screen I have 2 Win 7 and 1 XP Selection XP works OK. Question How do I remove the Window 7 Boot application?
Best Regards Brian
