How to restore default font display on WinXP

by mcrogerm . Updated 18 years, 6 months ago

When I recently purchased a new computer, the shop “helpfully” installed a copy of ACDSee, the graphics display program. Now ACDSee, at least the more recent versions I’ve seen, sets itself as the program to display .ttf files. I don’t like it. I want the default Windows display, but when I tried to assign what seemed the appropriate program, fntshow.exe, all I get is a message that the file is not a valid font. Can anyone help me out?
