How can you save memory from memory robbing programs?

You can try a third party memory manager like mem turbo
Open MSCONFIG and check the Startup tab see what programs are loading at startup that you donot need loading and uncheck the box
Use CNTRL-ALT-DEL and see what programs you are running in thebackcground and choose what programs you can end task on from running.

Another thing to do is run MemMax, or CachManager. (As free Downloads as shareware.)
This way you can keep Windows itself from using excessive amounts of memory.
The most common solution now, is to just add more memory, because it is so cheap.
I know this is not elegant, but it is the common approach to the problem of bloatware.
