How to search a particular word in a cell

I have a list in column A, where each cell contains a series of names separated by a semi-colon. On column B, I have the names to look-up. Each cell in column B contains only one name. I need to compare columns A and B and find in what position in column A the name from column B occurs. First, Last, or Other….Any help would be sincerely appreciated…
