How to select a good vendor?

By Candra ·
I have just start for changes my vendor to have more good service and the best price for my company.
What step I have to do to get the best vendor and the best price?
What condition must be fulfill by vendor, so we can say that the vendor is the best for us?
Do you have any suggestion?

Your a little short on information: but here is my $.02:
Chose either a good local vendor or an enterprise level internet vendor. It depends on your own company level of support and desire to use the inhouse support. I like to be able to find my vendor and be able to put my hands ( literally) on a PERSON. They are more cooperative when you can drive over and throw a brick through thier window. There is of course expense in dealing at this level. Second best is a vendor such as Dell or for onlyPCs Gateway. You cant actually touch them but I have had them come to my office.
With regards to PC quality, yes they are now commoditiies, no that doesnt mean to buy the cheapest.. Read up on Garnter Group ratings. Then decide what level you needper those ratings then buy in that level. GG is really good at looking at things you might not at first consider, such as vendor financial status.
