How to set timeout on my PC?

By AyukNotna ·
Hi All,

I have a Vista on my laptop, and wanted to limit my 15 year old son from using the computer. How do I set a timer to automatically log him out of the computer?

I appreciate all your reply.

You could set him up with his own account then put a bat file to shutdown the computer at the require time.

goto start then run then type shutdown -i then google how to create a shutdown script or give me the computer name and time you want this to shut down and i can write it for you?

"Time limits. You can set time limits to control when children are allowed to log on to the computer. Time limits prevent children from logging on during the specified hours and, if they are already logged on, they will be automatically logged off. You can set different logon hours for every day of the week. For more information, see Control when children can use the computer."
