We had a small company setup our small company network and we were not happy with the service we were provided. I have always been their in house IT Admin, handling all the workstation issues and printing as well. I also handle the server and ActiveDirectory and am in the learning process. I am currently only an MCP but I have experience and follow advice and directions well. Now I am their sole IT person and have been turning to this Q&A for help. There is one folder on our BDC that needs backing up nightly. The guy who setup the backup, ran a free program called “Putty” to write a script that would send the file that needed backing up, over the WAN to our PDC, so when the PDC backup kicked in, everything would be backed up. I found thismorning that any of the backups that he setup, has not been backing up, including the PDC! I setup the new daily back up schedule for the PDC but don’t know how to write a script to back up our access database file that needs to be pushed to the PDC. Any help would be appreciated.
