I currently have an AD running on Windows 2000 server SP4 and would like to retire it eventually when we have set-up our new AD on Windows 2003 R2 x64 Server with SP2. When I run DCPROMO, it failed because the active directory on the source schema operation manager is not compatible with my server. I then run the Disk2 of the Win2003 R2 x64 for the adprep tool but it says that it is not a valid win32 component. Has anyone of you encountered similar problem as mine? Im not sure if this has to do with the x64 bits of the OS. Please help.
