A good resource, is Tech Republic’s sister site
      http://www.builder.com.com

They have articles and e-mail newsletters on a number of programming languages. Along with book reviews and links to helpful web sites.

You are alittle vague on a very large topic consisting of 1000’s of languages and as many patforms. For 20 points do as answer one says and find out what you want to learn Or start by reading any book on
Beginners Allpurpose Symbolic Instruction Code better known as BASIC progress to Visual Basic progress to ‘C’ then ‘C++’ then VB.NET then VC.NET then C#.net then asp.net then dabble with PERL, Scripting etc…

      regards

      1. Choose a programming language for you to handle (C++ is the best choice because you can learn both structural programming and object-oriented programming)
      2. Find a textbook (something named as “for dummy” or “fundamental”)
      3. Follow the textbook step by step. Do the exercises and type the solutions by your hand.
      4. Review builder.com if your level is high enough.
