How to turn my flash drive to its original state?

By lamentofking ·
Ok I have a 2 gb flash drive. I wanted to put a persistent ubuntu linux on it which involved partitioning. Well it partitioned to like 750 MB. So I decided to get rid of it. I booted the live cd and deleted the partition. When I try to see how much space is on it in windows xp, it still says 750 MB. How can I return it to the original 2 GB?

Try formatting it...

using the Windows formatting utility. Right-click on it and choose Format from the context menu. Format it FAT if you can.

will be better off using fdisk to remove the Non DOS Partition. Non DOS = Linux. You will need a DOS Boot Disk that has fdisk.
