How to use one domain controller for multiple subnets

By rstanleyjr ·
I am trying to install active directory on my home network. I have multiple subnets (5) and I have at least 1 client pc in each subnet; however, I have only 1 domain controller. I am trying to figure out how to use this DC for all Clients on all of the subnets; please assist, thanks

Shouldn't be a problem as long as all other subnets can route to the subnet on which you place the server.

If routing is not in place, then you can install multiple NIC's in the server, or add multiple IP's to the server NIC's to establish presence on each of the subnets. Need to know more about physical layout to go further down this path (i.e. does all IP traffic from all subnets go through the same switen(es)? are the subnets segregated physically with separate switches or VLAN's? etc. )

All clients' DNS should point to the DC.
