How would I reduce the size of the MFT reserved zone below 12.5%

By normhaga ·
On a 160 gig HD, a reserved space of 12.5 percent is far more reserved space than I ever expect the MFT to grow to. How can I reduce this reserved space below the 12.5 percent mark in XP?

I have been using Diskeeper (best defrag tool on the market IMO) for years, and within a recent release (9.0 and upward?) they also offer an otption the set the MFT size.
Don't know what the recommended MFT settings are for drives, but it would probably be a good idea to find out before reducing something as crucial as the MFT.
DK offers a Home User version and a Professional version. I use the Professional version.
