I have installed the win2k driver for HP Photosmart 1000. Once installed any Office 97 application is slow to open files on the network or locally. If I open a file in an application that is from Office, then it is fine. When I remove the HP 1000driver and not have the printer installed at all. Then there is no problem. Other than having to remove the driver and printer all together. I am wondering if there is a fix in the registry or a another driver. HP does not have one on hand.
