HP 9300 can't feed glossy paper

By polkadotty33 ·
HP deskjet 9300 printing from Mac OS 10.4.11.

The deskjet has a difficult time feeding the HP Premium Glossy Paper
and HP Photo Greeting Cards. (Regular text paper works fine.) The
printer never had this problem before. It starts printing approximately
1/4 of the way up the page causing the pictures/graphics to run off
the page. The printer than continues to print on the roll itself leaving
the ink to accumulate.

Thought it might be Photoshop C2 so I saved file as pdf but problem
is still occurring.

Can anyone help?

Thank you,
fran

How old is this printer?

It could be the Rollers have gone hard and need replacing.

As the Glossy Paper is much more slippery than normal paper these need to be replaced regularly as the rubber hardens nd doesn't grip the paper as well as they should.

Clean pickup rollers, look for signs of paper dust or other debris in paper path.
