hp 932 printing problem

By danakate_c ·
I've got an HP 932C deskjet that has problems everytime it runs out of paper. As long as it doesn't run out of paper it's fine, but if it does it will start printing out those pages with the little symbols on the top line for hours. Any suggestions?

Is it Win98SE...If so, download the driver update and re-install. But be sure to un-install the printer first.

932C should have USB or IEEE1284 connection. Regardless of which one is used, bi-directional support should be turned on in the printer properties. Make sure it is, and if using USB, try using parallel, or if using parallel try using USB. Since XP natively installs drivers for the 932C, you could also try downloading the latest drivers and installing them. Take great care if installing USB as errors in the installation can cause great headaches down the road.
