I have been unable to get the easy cd creator 4 software to recognize the HP9700i CDRW. Easy CD Creator keeps telling me that the CD-RW is not recognized whenever I try to use to burn a cd.
The HP 9700i is installed in a Dell Optiplex Gx1 Desktop(OS win95). I can see CD’s in the drive as well. I used some of the other hints from the HP and Roxio site, disabled DMA, set CDRW to master.
It will write data using the Adaptec Direct Cd software, but not with the easy cd creator 4 software. Installed the lastest patch from roxio (ecdc_v402e1_up.exe) for WIn95.
I need some fresh ideas.
