HP Deskjet 895 Cxi Gibberish

By gfletcher ·
When I get a paperjam in my HP 895, it will pump out 1 to 10 lines of gibberish per sheet for sometimes as many as 200 to 300 sheets. You have to continue feeding paper until it finally decides to print what it was trying to print when it jammed. The print queue shows an error and deleting the print job doesn't help. Neither does turning off or unplugging the printer. Any suggestions?

Try deleting the print job; then unplug the printer & turn it off and reboot.

Delete the job, then cancel the job on the printer. Reoot the printer
restart your print spooler afterwards.
Hope this helps

Our HP895Cxi printer is connected to our network via a ?HP JetDirect EX Plus 3?. What I do when this happens (beside switching of the printer and deleting the print job) is switching of the ?HP JetDirect EX Plus 3? and unplugging it from the network for about 2 min. It usually works for me.

Hi,

You may want to uninstall the driver for that printer, and reinstall the lastest driver. Also, Is it only when you get a paper jam, or when you send certain types of documents to the printer.

Also here is a link with alot of information about your printer may come in handy.
