HP LaserJet 2100TN Settings Issue

by rynzeski . Updated 24 years, 10 months ago

I have an HP LaserJet 2100TN printer that was working fine for months. Yesterday all of a sudden documents queued to this printer, the settings changed to “Manual Feed with Pause” instead of “Auto Select” as what is shows on the configuration tab of the Printer Properties settings.

Looking through the problem it seems that the printer looks for paper in Tray 1 (there are 3 trays) and if there is none it stops looking. When you put paper on Tray 1 it prints the first page then pause until you press the GO button on the printer, does it for each page.

Check all printer settings and document settings but the “Source in” setting is set to “Auto Select”.

Uninstall the printer completelyt and created the printer on another server creating new JetDirect Port and installing the printer driver and software. Still with no luck…

Turned printer off and turned it back on even re-boot both servers, still no go…

Can anybody give me any ideas on what more I can do to fix this problem?

Thanks for your help.
