HP Pavilion tx2000 switching off

By rebeccajbarber ·
Hi Guys
I have a HP Pavilion tx2000 running vista pro, you have salved my annoying curser problem and now I?m wondering if you can help with another.

The laptop keeps randomly switching off on me no warning no nothing just switched off as if I have done the start > shut down sequence.
I believe it?s due to being over heated to try and stop this I have purchased the belkin cushy thingy ? wonderful idea! Stops the burning on your legs too! I have changed the battery to the chunkier one so the laptop is a little tilted for air flow but still get the same problem. Now I understand I can get fans for the laptop to sit on but I need it portable is there anything anyone can suggest? Even some software that will tell me its going to do it and give me the chance to save things!
Thank you so much!!

You will however need to make sure that the Fans are actually working in this unit and maybe clean out the Air Ducts in the NB itself. These get clogged with Gunk and restrict the air flow through the unit and allow the CPU to overheat. I always sell Antec NB Coolers with every NB like this one

These have 2 fans in them and suck air under the NB and drag any or at least most of the Air Born Crud away from the Air Intakes of the NB..

But running SIV will tell you if it is a Overheating issue if nothing else provided that it works with your M'Board Chip Set.
