I have a HP Pavillion 9600 (bought 8-years ago), I don’t use this much often. Recently I had just powered it and logged on. Then suddenly it went out – just like that.
Now, it does not power up.
I am not a hardware guy, but I opened up to see if anything had got burned up inside (at least the areas that I could see). Nothing struck me to be odd inside. The fan does not get the power.
Any guesses on what could possibly wrong? Would each system have some kind of circuit breaker inside?
Is it safe to take it to Best Buy (that is where I bought it) to get it repaired?
