HP Printer problems on NT 4.0 net

I have a NT 4.0 server spooling and processing print jobs from 98 Client Machines. A network printer is set up and shared to everyone. It has the tcp/ip address correctly installed. All the drivers available for different clients that might connect. HP Laserjet 5N. From Outlook and other ap[plications only the first page prints then only the numbers thereafter. Has anyone come accross this situation.?

We have the same print setup on an NT machine, but we are using netbeui as our network protocol for the print server. We have the tcp/ip set up for networking on a LAN line, and the netbeui for the printserver seems to work really well. Is there apossible conflict using the tcp/ip?

I’ve had varying degrees of success with HP print servers on NT 4.0. You may want to abandon the “HP JetDirect” port that get’s installed when you use the setup wizard provided with the 5N and set the printer up using a Standard TCP/IP port throughNT. I’ve found this to be far more stable.
