HP printer tells me I need new magenta cartridge when I have just installed

msg said my magenta cartridge was empty and I COULD ONLY PRINT IN B+W. hAVE REPLACED CARTRIDGE TWICE BUT STILL RECEIVE MSG.

Could be a couple of things

Some Models of HP Printers had a Date Time set into the Circuit Board on the Cartridges so that after that Data had passed the Printer refused to acknowledge that the Cartridge was available for Printing. If that is the case here you need to source a new supplier of Cartridges as the ones you are getting are too old.

The other thing could be that the printer itself is either damaged and no longer reading the Cartridges IC or that the Cartridge doesn't have a suitable IC for your Printer. Either way if that is the case you need to use either a different source for the Replacement Cartridges or in the event of the printer no longer being able to read the cartridge repair the printer.
