I am currently running Win 2000 pro on a fresh install. We have a network comprised of all 9x clients except this machine. My problem is that I cannot get the existing Scanjet 5 utility to work on this system. It will hang forever, then give me an error message 3 (no users found). The scanner is networked directly (NIC card in back of scanner). I can see it from Jet Admin (and configure it) on my win 2000 client. Am I missing something?? Does the utility need to be installed locally?? All my other client machines run this application from our Netware server. Help!!
