HP slimline Vista XP will not come out of hibernation

By patm ·
It stopped waking up, even after multiple cold reboots. I disconnected all peripheral devices. It boots in hibernation mode, fans running, lights on but nobody home-- screen blank-"no signal". Can't get into bios because it stays in hibernate. Won't let me get into safe mode, either. No known changes made before this issue. Any ideas?

Have you called HP?

Especially if it's still under warranty.

If you have the setup disks.....

Put in the setup disks amd see if you can do a "repair". If you have the full version of Vista in question then just pop in the disk and select "repair" option. But since you can not get into the bios, this might be an issue relating to the bios in question. Is this a Tower or Laptop?. Have you got the manuals?. If you give the MAKE and Model i might be able to see if i can get the User/service manual for you.
