I have a user who is on a Win98 who is getting an error that keeps popping up continously. The error is:
hpblgbe.drv Pure Virtual Function called.
Mostly this happens when she is using Excel (Office '97 ver.). Currently she has to enter a line and save, enter a line and save, repeat, repeat, and so on. Occasionally her pc locks up and has to be rebooted. The problem seems to be getting worse. I looked on Microsoft's KB and found nothing, does anyone here have any ideas what this error is refering to, or how to fix it.
Thanks, Dave

sounds like a driver problem. I would look at the devices attatched to the system, starting with HP devices. Uninstall the not needed ones. and see if the problem goes away.
this a network printer? what printer? what network? this sounds like an hp printer driver problem. maybe you could uninstall the printer driver, reboot open office and see if the problem goes away. if it does, download the pcl5 version or the pcl6 version of your printer driver, whichever isn't on there right now causing problems, see? also check for file type in printer driver settings. try raw instead of emf or emf instead of raw.
If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem. Also please exercise your best judgment when posting in the forums--revealing personal information such as your e-mail address, telephone number, and address is not recommended.
