HTTP Error Behind ISA Firewall

By mertzn ·
I am trying to access a website and I keep getting this error message:

HTTP 502 Proxy Error - The Uniform Resource Locator (URL) is invalid. The request was not entered correctly. Enter the correct URL and try again. (12005)
Internet Security and Acceleration Server

It has something to do with my ISA Server Config. But I have the HTTP & HTTPS Ports open and accepting In and Out requests from the website I am trying to access. I can get to any website or secure site on the web, but this is the first time I have gotten this message from this particular website. I can get access through DSL at home but cannot behind an ISA Firewall. Can someone please explain the message and help resolve this issue in ISA.

HTTP Error Behind ISA Firewall

by Joseph Moore In reply to HTTP Error Behind ISA Fir ...

Can you resolve the IP address behind ISA for this domain name? Did you try doing an NSLOOKUP on that web site domain name, to see if you get an IP address back? Because the only thing i can find on that error 12005 is this:
12005 ERROR_INTERNET_INVALID_URL
The URL is invalid.

You get that from the Win API.
Well, if you get IP resolution, then try Technet article Q295089:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q295089
(please remove any spaces)

It is not quite your error, but it is something. The recommended fix is to get the latest Service Pack for ISA.

hope this helps
