I have an HP 10/100 hub running full-24 ports except for the uplink, and two connections are 10 base and the rest of the nodes are 100. The two 10 base connections are a spread spectrum wireless access point and an older jet admin box serving a laser printer. Everyonce in awhile the 10 base stuff quits working and the cars can’t upload via the spread spectrum access point and the jet admin printer won’t print. I briefly unplug the hub and plug it back in and everything works….This is everycouple of weeks or so. The network runs 24X7. (Police Dept) I suspect the jet admin box using the IPX/SPX protocol while the rest of the entire network is TCP/IP, mostly DHCP except for the access point and the JA box. I am thinking of going backto the 3Com 100 switch for the servers….
Any idea what is causing the hub to load up??
