Personally I think a Corolla is better than a Prius. About 80 % of the fuel efficiency at about 60% of the cost.
But you can see how people warp facts to make them fit and then whip up the public.
Ask yourself though – why did it grab so many people? I doubt the debunking gets nearly the mileage of the original shocking allegation, true or not.
