I have a 20 user SBS network running NT4 and W2K clients. When a Word 2000 document is saved from one machine to the server and opened on another machine the hyperlink path is modified (usually removing a “\” from the UNC path so the hyperlinks do not work. This problem does not happen everytime and does not seem to be machine specific.
Also some machines show hyperlinks as the mapped drive letter and some as the server UNC path ie \\Fileserver\datapath\ or M:\. This was solved using a registry setting in the Word 8 for Word 97 but does not work once upgraded to Word 2000 by putting the setting in the Word 9 folder.
Many thanks
David
