By tapu2 ·
Hi, My question is that. I am a IT A+ technician Microsoft Certified . Is it going to be hard for me to get a job while Im still in high school and my age is 17 ? I also have experienced from my past work as an IT but I wasn't paid. I attended the computer school because they provide me Experience. So, I'am not really out in the real world. And I would like to know any advices I can get from you IT exprerienced Pros.
Thank you,
Tapesh

Hi, you shouldn't have any problems getting a job as an in-house or field tech (by the way, A+ is not a microsoft certification; A+ is vendor neutral). You may not be allowed to handle cash since you are not bondable yet, but this shouldn't matter if your job is to troubleshoot, advise and repair. You should be able to get a part time job at bestbuy, compUSA, tandy or local computer shop while still in school (and get paid for your labor). Good luck.

Try a manufacturer running 3 shifts. They always need techs, look great on a resume, and will have very flexible hours, because you can provide off-shift coverage.
