I am not able to create the Partition in Vista?

I am not able to Create the partion in Vista
I opened Administative Tool->ComputerManagement->Disk Management
and right click on the C: drive It is showing Mark Patition Active is disabling
so i am not able to create the Partition
Can any body tell me how to make partition.
