I bought a 320gb Maxtor SATA II/300 to use for data only. My first SATA experience. I used fdisk to make 5 partitions using percentages and it shows each partition at correct capacity. BIOS recognizes full 320gb capacity. Windows 2000 pro service pack 4 disk management only recognizes it...

Well assuming that the Disc Management

only recognizes it as the Original Drive you have used the wrong utility to format the drive or you have created the partitions but not as yet formatted the individual Partitions.

F Disk will set the original Partitions but not format them.
