I can not access one particular web site

By clivebrazil ·
I CAN NOT access amazon.co.uk!

I can access all other websites including amazon.com

Have cleared all cookies, off line content etc, ran virus software, ad-aware etc, tried lowering all security settings, and a few other things. even rang amazon. The web site is fine my computer is fine all other internet access is fine.

This just happened a fortnight ago before that I could access it easily now I just get a "The page cannot be displayed" message as if the web site does not exist.

I know my way around a computer but nothing about programming etc. And have run out of ideas to try.

Has anyone got any ideas?

What version Windows? Can you access Amazon using, say, Firefox?
Are you using a firewall? Have you flushed your DNS cache (ipconfig /flushdns)?

Let me know.

It is windows XP using standerd firewall which I have switched off anyway. DNS cache has been flushed and a ping shows host unreachable. Havent tried firefox, but can access it when using a different (more expensive) ISP.
