i cannot get vga drivers to update in xp can any one help?

By skuts ·
I am newish to computing. i recently wiped and reinstalled xp on my computer. Device manager is saying that the the drivers for my vga are not installed. I have been to via website and downloaded the drivers but when i try to install it says that the hardware cannot be found so will not install.I have run uniblue drive scanner which says drivers up to date but device manager still says there are no drivers installed. Can any one shed any light on this problem and possibly tell me where i am going wrong?. I have a k8upgrade asus mother board running xp sp3. I would really appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance

Or if you have a Plug In Video Card the Make & Model of that.

The reason you are not getting any notification by the software about the Video Drivers is because you first need drivers in place so that the software can see what you have and then check what is available.

If you don't know which Video Card/Chip Set you have you can download the Unknown Device Identifier free from here

http://www.fileheap.com/software-unknown-device-identifier-download-34861.html

Run that to identify which Video Chip Set you have, then either post back with the Model Number or Google it for the correct drivers.

Thank you for your reply.I downloaded the unknown device identifier and googled the result and found the correct drivers. They are now installed and my system is back up and running properly. Thank you again
