I Can't unistall a nasty Program!

by TheChas In reply to I Can't unistall a nasty ...

This is one of the many problems with getting software from unknown sites.
Some people just like to cause problems.

From the text as transcribed, they are asking you to type in 1 1 1 1.

I personally would manually delete the files for the program, and then search the registry for any keys related to the program, and delete them.
CAUTION: Editing the registry can cause your system to not boot. Proceed with caution.

There is a good guide to the registry posted here

Download and run spybot first
http://spybot.safer-networking.de/
It sounds like you may have spyware on your pc
I found tthat Spybot finds things that Adaware misses (like LOP)

This one does sound like LOP. Run spybot and it will find all the LOP instances, but you will still have this thing in add & remove programs.

In my experience, the uninstall actually works from the point where the it asks for the numbers - if itis indeed LOP - provided it is after you have deleted all active instances with spybot.

I think I answered this question two mins ago. Got a system hang up.
I try again:
Download and install Spybot S&amp 1.1
Run it and it will show you the bad files and good files. The bad ones are ticked and you just answer the question on the bottom of the screen to get rid of those bad ones.
