As a female technician with 5 years of experience I make what a male does at entry level. In fact last year I bucked mgmt for a raise and was brought up closer to what the “guys are making”. It’s common to hear that terminology out there. Funny thing that I’m a Microsoft Trainer also and I get paid less than the guys I’m training. What’s wrong with this picture? Our company is very pro-female in the IT dept, but I think that’s to save $$$. Female IT workers will accept the job for less and outperform their coworkers. I bet if you look at the study further, you’ll find that female IT professionals work longer hours as well.
