I find most annoying

Is when you have a system that will not boot. nothing you try works, not even an OS repair from boot disk or the option is not given to do an OS repair if your system disk cannot detect a previous installation.

If you want to salvage the data (and dont have any external means of doing so) you can choose to “keep file system intact” as apposed to formating in NTFS or FAT32.

Now your operating system or Windows and system32 files will be “reinstalled” and you can boot normally. Now your new users profiles will have extensions on the end of them user1.boxname

is there a quicker way to get this back to norm? besides copying the documents and settings from the old profile? Plus 98% of the software needs to be reinstalled. Its a bitter sweet way to save data.
