I have a 1 TB SATA HD that I can not install Vista on and I need Drivers

I have a GIGABYTE GA-EP45-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard, Seagate Barracuda 1 TB SATA hard disk, 4GB ram, Combo Blu-ray HD-DVD SATA cd drive. Everything shows up fine in the BIOS, but when I try to install Windows Vista Ultimate from the cd drive, it will not recognize the sata HD. I put in the disc the MOBO came with and it doesn’t find anything. Looked at Gigabytes’ website, but it doesn’t list any SATA drivers for this MOBO. This is the first time I have built a computer from scratch. I have tried everything I could think of and some of the fixes listed on this site, but nothing works. I don’t own a floppy drive, but if I have to have one I will get one.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions.
