I have a slow running Multi-Media Problem:

By Rocky 01 ·
I'm running a memory-intensive multimedia application on my computer, which has 128-MB RAM installed. I see that the computer momentarily stops responding whenever I switch between two multimedia applications. A friend suggests upgrading the RAM to 256 MB to correct the performance problems. Will this work?

Hard to say it all depends on what OS is in use here but no matter what else it's very unlikely to hurt.

These days with the smallest Video Cards having 512 MEG of RAM and a low end computer coming with at the very least 2 GIG it's hard to see how doubling the Installed RAM is going to do any harm.

However that depends on the Hardware involved and if it can carry that amount of RAM.

Sounds like (he) is operating a Babbage Difference Engine.

I almost can't remember when I was running 128.
