I just about a brand new HP 9610 and it will not connect to my Internet via cord. I am running vista and it has a generic IP address in the information. I have tried to release the IP info but still no go. It recognizes that I have my cord in but won?t get farther than connection to the network. I also have a desktop that can get on line and have had another laptop able to get on this way. Please help me figure out how to get the IP information out so I can go online.
