I have Dell lapt top computer It has PointSec on it.
The PointSec login screen comes up before anything else, but I do not have the sign on for it to uninstall. I have tried to boot off a Win XP CD and reinstall Windows, but it does not recognize the hard drive. (I know the HD is good.)
How can I get rid of the PointSec, there is nothing I need to retrieve off the drive.
Thanks in advance for your help! I do not have the recovery disk

What type of XP CD did you use?

If it wasn't the Dell Recovery Disc it will not have the SATA Drivers for the HDD and will not be able to find a usable HDD. Should report that there is no HDD Found.

Is that what is happening here?

Anyway the answer is to use either the Recovery Disc supplied by Dell or make your own Slipstreamed Install Disc with either a product like nLite
