I have trouble setting up two network cards in one PC and then connecting it to two different workgroups.
I am running win98 on the computer and use a genius GF100TXRII RLT 10/100 network card. Both cards are the same.
1- The computer needs to connect to a Novell server which is connected on the one network card directly from that network Called workgroup with about 12 pc’s.
2- The computer also needs to be on the local network which is a normal windows wourkgroup network with 6 computers. This network is known as workgoup as well. Windows network.
First the computer was only connected to the Novell network and it connects fine, there are no password restrictions on this network.
But now that I installed the second network car in the PC IT will not connect to the local network?? It only sees it’s Novell network it can though be seen by the other computers on the local network but not accessed ( the shares ).
I do not know what to do now and would appreciate guidelines to such an installa
