I lost my memory!

Yes, that’s right, my computer has alzheimers. I am unable to run scandisk or defrag because it says there is not enough available memory to complete the operation, the same message appears when trying to install any program, or even launch the webbrowser, any of them. I have tried switching the swap file, deleted all temp files, temporary internet files, etc. Can’t think of what else to do – help!
